Jennifer La Macchia is an attorney in Labor and Employment practice group, in Washington, D.C. office.

Ms. La Macchia advises clients in labor negotiations as well as counsels them on issues including reductions in force, restrictive covenants and protection of intellectual property. She has experience drafting executive and other employment agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks. Ms. La Macchia also performs due diligence, analysis and advises on labor and employment issues for U.S. and foreign companies in multi-national mergers and acquisitions.

Advised and represented a major air carrier in labor negotiations, litigation, and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation negotiations during and following Chapter 11 reorganization

Represented major air carrier in a Department of Labor investigation 

 Represented transportation company in National Labor Relations Board proceedings and union organizing campaigns

Successfully negotiated settlement of attempted veil-piercing WARN Act class action lawsuit on behalf of a related corporate entity to a bankrupt air carrier

Assisted General Counsel in two-person legal department of $1 billion travel and technology company.

Prior to private practice Ms. La Macchia worked as an Associate General Counsel for a travel and technology company where she advised HR on development and interpretation of company policies, procedures, and team member training.  She also managed trademarks, copyright and all manners of intellectual property, drafted and negotiated leasing agreements with airports,  monitored and advised company on all legislative and regulatory matters including airport capacity restrictions, airport security, aviation taxation, and all DOT regulations.
