Mirroring the firm’s pro bono commitment, summer associates have the opportunity to work on legal and non-legal pro bono projects during the course of the summer.  This year the New York office is participating in programs with the following organizations:

Inwood House

Inwood House is dedicated to helping adolescents achieve healthy adulthood and self-reliance.  A pioneer in teen pregnancy prevention, Inwood House provides nearly 12,000 New York City and New Jersey teens with the knowledge, skills and self-esteem they need to make responsible decisions and lead independent, productive lives.  Inwood House creates communities that promote caring and learning and is a source of hope, guidance and opportunity.

Sanctuary for Families

The Courtroom Advocates Program ("CAP"), run by Sanctuary for Families, provides Summer Associates with the opportunity to serve as advocates for domestic violence victims seeking protective orders in family court.  Through CAP, Summer Associates experience hands-on client contact and in-court advocacy while providing critical pro bono legal services.
