William M. Scott IV is a partner in the Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Areas of Practice

Mr. Scott specializes in commercial law, syndicated loan transactions and other financial and transactional work.  A recent list of representative transactions includes:

• A multi-billion dollar loan facility to a major international hotel chain to acquire the stock of a holding company for several major national hotel chains;
• Several multi-billion dollar loan facilities for major gaming and resort companies;
• A syndicated commercial loan package coupled with a private placement and tax free commercial paper program for an Indian Tribe;
• A syndicated development loan to another Indian Tribe to finance a $300,000,000 expansion of its existing casino facilities;
• Acquisition financings for several television stations;
• The senior financing for a professional sports franchise;
• Workout and restructuring of syndicated loans to a petrochemical trading company, a major international moving and logistics company, and a national temporary staffing company;
• Non-recourse joint venture financing for several major hotel, resort and casinos projects;
• Several asset-based financings.
