Mr. Huther has considerable experience representing clients in complex litigation before federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as regulatory agencies across the U.S. and in Washington. He also has an extensive background in counseling clients on regulatory issues that require complicated analyses and creative problem-solving.
Mr. Huther’s litigation experience focuses on the aviation and communications industries. Most recently, Mr. Huther was lead trial counsel in a month-long administrative hearing before the Department of Transportation, representing a large coalition of international airlines in a challenge to a significant rate increase imposed at Los Angeles International Airport. Mr. Huther similarly represented a large group of international airlines before the Department of Transportation in a week-long administrative trial challenging a substantial increase in terminal rents at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Mr. Huther also represents telecommunications companies on a wide-array of matters, chief among them complex litigation involving local telephone competition and policy, pole attachment disputes, interconnection, universal service, inter-carrier compensation, and the development, defense and critique of telecommunications cost models and methodologies. He regularly appears before state and federal judicial and administrative courts, federal agencies, and state public utility commissions.
