Gene Wu is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Areas of Practice
Mr. Wu has been responsible for numerous aspects of commercial litigation involving joint venture, partnership, testamentary trusts, fiduciary duties and relationships, real-estate transactions and option contracts. He has spent significant time preparing and opposing dispositive motions, motions in limine, trial briefs and exhibits, conducting and responding to discovery, including expert discovery and assistance in the preparation of expert reports, jury instructions, special verdict forms, statements of decision, judgments and post-trial briefings. Mr. Wu's also has experience in insurance coverage, reinsurance, securities litigation and patent infringement.
Prior to law school, he was a Peace Corps Volunteer, teaching high school math and science in Western Samoa, and interned at Pfizer and Bristol-Myers Squibb in business and research capacities, respectively.
Prior to joining Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, Mr. Wu was an associate in the Los Angeles offices of Lord, Bissell & Brook LLP and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP.
