Crystina P. Coats

Crystina P. Coats is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation and Technology Transactions Practice Group in the Del Mar Heights office.

Ms. Coats represents international and domestic technology companies in high technology, telecommunications, and life sciences industries in technology transactions and intellectual property litigation matters.

Her transactional practice involves the acquisition, transfer and protection of intellectual property rights and other assets, including manufacturing and distribution agreements, fee agreements, collaboration agreements, and patent, trademark and software licensing agreements.

Ms. Coats also represents clients in litigation matters involving patent infringement and misappropriation of trademarks and trade secrets. She has experience in electronic discovery, including litigation holds and the preservation and use of electronic information.

Her representative clients include Bridgepoint Education, Broadcom, DivX, InfoSonics, International Rectifier, Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, Luitpold Pharmaceuticals, Northrop Grumman, SecurityPoint Media, State Compensation Insurance Fund, and Vero Systems.

Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Ms. Coats was an associate at the San Diego office of DLA Piper.
