Tony Young is a partner in the Entertainment, Media and Communications Practice Group in the firm's Century City office. He is also co-chair of the firm's Sports Industry Team.
Areas of Practice
Mr. Young specializes in complex business litigation, particularly institutional entertainment litigation, sports-related matters and other large commercial disputes.
Mr. Young has substantial experience handling matters for motion picture studios, media conglomerates, broadcasting companies and other businesses regarding various types of claims, including those involving motion picture and television distribution rights, profit participation and other accounting issues, copyright and idea submission, contractual disputes, securities laws and regulations, and complex due diligence analyses relating to large mergers and acquisitions. His practice has included representation of clients in cases involving allegations of fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and a wide range of labor disputes.
Mr. Young's experience includes all aspects of the litigation process, including pre-litigation negotiations, drafting, opposing, and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, negotiating and drafting settlements, and preparing cases for trial before State and Federal Courts and arbitration panels. Mr. Young also has substantial appellate experience.
