Overview

Andrea Feathers is a senior associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She is the co-leader of the Women Lawyers Group for the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Areas of Practice 

Andrea specializes in complex commercial litigation. Her experience includes environmental and real estate litigation, breach of contract and fiduciary actions, healthcare and media law.

In the environmental practice area, she has defended clients in complex litigation involving Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), California Hazardous Substances Account Act (HSAA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and related claims. She represented defendants in two separate complex multi-party actions brought by a large water district. She has also litigated product labelling actions alleging non-compliance with California’s Proposition 65.

Andrea is committed to pro bono work. She has represented clients in a variety of areas, including First Amendment law, public records access, asylum, adoption and guardianship. In 2018, she was awarded the Bob Gerber Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award, which recognizes one Sheppard Mullin attorney each year for pro bono work.

Activities

Andrea is an attorney member of the Attorney Admissions Fund Board for the United States District Court Central District of California.

Before joining Sheppard Mullin, Andrea was a law clerk to the Honorable Andrew J. Guilford of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

During law school, she served as an extern to the Honorable Virginia A. Phillips of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
