Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a 550 attorney law firm, is seeking a hard-working, motivated individual to serve as Practice Group Manager for its growing New York office.

The Practice Group Manager is responsible for managing marketing initiatives in support of one practice group firmwide, as well as handling NY office-specific marketing initiatives. Duties include:

• Develop, implement and evaluate marketing plans
• Participate in business development initiatives, including response to Requests for Proposal, market research and client presentations
• Create and manage business development programs/activities to expand existing client relationships or acquire new clients
• Identify industry trends and opportunities
• Develop seminars and events for New York office

This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer who is based in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills, client service orientation, strong people skills, proactive, ability to work on multiple projects, and able to work both as part of a team and function independently.

Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of five years marketing experience in professional services.
