Holly Patterson is the manager of intellectual property administration at Sheppard Mullin and manages the staff of the intellectual property department for all Sheppard Mullin offices.

Ms. Patterson is an administrator with 30 years of experience as a intellectual property specialist and litigation paralegal. She has extensive experience administering the prosecution of patent and trademark applications around the world, and through her experience with a network of foreign associates, can arrange for analysis of foreign intellectual property treaties, laws and procedures. This complete network of experienced foreign associates can also handle foreign matters on an expedited basis. Ms. Patterson travels extensively to international destinations to visit foreign associates, develop personal relationships, and to assess English fluency and work quality.
Ms. Patterson has extensive experience administering Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent applications filed through the U.S. Receiving Office of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She can arrange for the filing and prosecution of patent and trademark applications in any country in the world having intellectual property laws or regulations.
Ms. Patterson is also a research specialist in the field of Intellectual Property, conducting trademark screening searches, patent family searches, and company ownership and information searches.
- Ms. Patterson is active in the International Trademark Association (INTA), and has served on INTA committees for many years. As an INTA committee member, Ms. Patterson was part of a three person team that developed and implemented a job portal for trademark internships on the INTA website.
