Josie Shi is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's Shanghai Office.
Areas of Practice
Ms. Shi’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and other cross-border transactions. She has experience with a variety of China-related international transactions, private equity investments, and general corporate matters, and has conducted due diligence across diverse industries, such as computer software, internet services, industrial equipment production, and early education. She has advised U.S. companies on establishing WFOEs and representative offices in China as well as relevant employment issues. She also assisted in advising on corporate structure contracts between an international investment group and a China internet service provider. Ms. Shi also advises on cross-border IP protection within various corporate structures, including joint venture. She has experience with trademark applications, infringement cases, anti-counterfeiting, and IP transfers.
Prior to joining Sheppard, Ms. Shi interned at a prestigious Chinese law firm focusing on the real estate and labor and employment practices.
