Jennifer B. Zargarof is a partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Areas of Practice
Ms. Zargarof counsels employers on personnel policies and procedures, employee discipline matters, and wage and hour issues. She also defends employers and supervisors in court and in administrative disputes arising from the employment relationship, including disputes under state and federal wage and hour and discrimination laws.
Ms. Zargarof has represented employers responding to complaints of discrimination and harassment before the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also represented employers in administrative hearings before the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement regarding wage and hour claims, including disputes regarding exemptions from overtime laws, meal and rest period claims, off-the-clock work claims and other claims under the California Labor Code. Ms. Zargarof has also obtained temporary restraining orders for employers dealing with workplace violence issues. She is also experienced in alternative dispute resolution, having assisted clients in obtaining favorable resolutions to disputes through mediation and arbitration.
Ms. Zargarof has lectured throughout California on various employment-related topics. She conducts frequent trainings on sexual harassment, discrimination, wage and hour issues and other employment law areas.
