Mr. Anderson is Special Counsel in the Entertainment, Media and Technology practice group in the firm's New York office.

Areas of Practice

Mr. Anderson concentrates on the representation of premier talent and entrepreneurs in the music, entertainment, internet and new media industries. 

Mr. Anderson handles business and legal affairs and supervises litigation on behalf of recording and touring artists, composers, producers, progressive record companies, film distribution companies, television networks, and internet entrepreneurs. As a deal maker, he concentrates on helping to build and maximize client careers, from negotiation of the first agreements for gifted new talent, to negotiation of agreements and restructuring of business relationships for some of the world's greatest recording artists and songwriters.

Mr. Anderson's litigation experience includes high-profile and precedent-setting cases involving recording artists, record labels, composers, publishers, managers, artists’ rights and accounting practices, as well as leading cases on copyright and freedom of artistic expression.

Mr. Anderson has renegotiated agreements and restructured business relationships for some of the world's most innovative and successful recording artists and songwriters including Beastie Boys, Dixie Chicks, Ben Folds, Stephin Merritt, Mindless Self Indulgence, Phish and Will Smith.
