Kevin W. Goering

Kevin Goering is a partner in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's New York office.

Areas of Practice

Mr. Goering has practiced media, publishing and general commercial litigation for over 25 years.  He advises publishers, authors, television and radio broadcasters, Internet service providers and journalists with respect to intellectual property issues, including defamation, privacy, copyright, trademark, rights of publicity, anti-dilution and licensing issues. Mr. Goering has also handled a variety of litigation matters in state and federal court relating to trademarks, copyrights, franchising, licensing and trade secrets. In addition to his media law and intellectual property practice, he has had extensive commercial litigation experience, including pretrial, trial and appellate work in state and federal courts. Mr. Goering has expertise in the defense of securities fraud cases, including class actions. He also has significant experience representing creditors, governments, government instrumentalities and international organizations in litigation and arbitration involving sovereign and diplomatic immunity issues.  He also has handled many arbitrations in the American Arbitration Association ("AAA"), the National Association of Securities Dealers ("NASD") and under the UNCITRAL rules. Many of these arbitrations involved the representation of foreign entities.
