What Does The End of Redevelopment Mean For You?

Sheppard Mullin's Redevelopment Roundtable
01.12.2012

Please join Sheppard Mullin's Real Estate, Land Use and Environmental Practice Group either in-person or via webex for a breakfast briefing roundtable discussion on Thursday, January 12, 2012, from 8:00 am - 9:30am, hosted from our Los Angeles/Downtown, Orange County/Costa Mesa, San Diego and San Francisco offices on the ramifications of the dissolution of California Redevelopment Agencies as a result of the December 29, 2011 California Supreme Court opinion released in California Redevelopment Association v. Matosantos.

The dissolution of redevelopment agencies in California may affect you if you have any of the following:

  • Redevelopment Agency issued bonds or notes;
  • Real property subject to an agreement with a redevelopment agency;
  • A loan from a redevelopment agency;
  • A lease with a redevelopment agency;
  • A contract to acquire land from a redevelopment agency;
  • Real property located in a redevelopment project area; or
  • Any interest in acquiring redevelopment agency assets.

Our attorneys will be discussing the possible impacts as well as how to navigate the effects of the RDA agencies' dissolution on your current and future property and/or projects.  This is one real-time roundtable you won’t want to miss.  The conversation promises to be an extremely informative real-time roundtable about how this important decision will affect the future of California's real estate development.
