Nicole M. Slattery is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group and the Tax, Employee Benefits and Estate Planning Practice Group in the firm’s Del Mar office.
Areas of Practice
Ms. Slattery’s practice focuses in all aspects of trademark, copyright and trade secret matters. Her practice includes strategic counseling on the adoption of trademarks, service marks, trade names, and Internet domain names domestically and abroad, prosecution of trademark applications in the United States and internationally, domestic and international enforcement of trademarks, trademark litigation, and trademark licensing.
Ms. Slattery practices regularly before the US federal courts and the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Ms. Slattery’s practice also focuses in the executive compensation, corporate securities laws and corporate governance areas. Ms. Slattery advises both public and privately-held companies. She prepares, negotiates and reviews equity incentive, change of control, severance and bonus plans/arrangements and employment agreements, along with proxy statements, prospectuses, and other filings required by the 1933/1934 Securities Acts.
Ms. Slattery is also active in pro bono service, having worked with clients referred by Public Counsel of Los Angeles and Legal Services for Entrepreneurs. She assists families in the adoption of children who need loving homes and assists young entrepreneurs on trademark matters related to the start-up of their businesses.
