Richard L. Lotts is a partner in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office and past Chairman of the firm's statewide Labor and Employment practice.
Areas of Practice
Throughout his long career representing management in traditional labor law matters, Mr. Lotts has had experience practicing before the National Labor Relations Board in both unfair labor practice and election matters. He has achieved a remarkably high degree of success in matters before the Board, particularly on behalf of employers wishing to preserve their non-union status. Mr. Lotts' traditional labor law practice also includes the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, and the handling of arbitrations pursuant to such agreements.

Experience
Mr. Lotts has extensive experience representing management in the defense of employment discrimination and wrongful termination litigation. He has been successful in obtaining summary judgments on behalf of his clients in many such matters, and has also had jury trial experience in this area.
Mr. Lotts combines experience in labor and employment law with a broad practice aimed at preventing problems before they arise. He prepares and distributes to clients periodic letters on a broad range of topics, provides regular periodic luncheon presentations for clients, and counsels clients on an ongoing basis.
