Alexandra M. Gross is an attorney in both the Privacy and Cybersecurity and Labor and Employment Practice Groups in the firm's Orange County office.

Areas of Practice

Ali regularly advises clients of all sizes, and across industry segments, on privacy and cybersecurity regulations. Ali helps clients implement compliance programs to address a number of data protection laws, including CCPA, HIPAA, CMIA, FCRA, and GLBA. Her representations involve full-scale information governance, incident preparedness and response, drafting policies and procedures, responding to regulators, and investigating cyber events.

Ali brings particular depth and experience in healthcare privacy and data security. Before joining Sheppard Mullin, she was the Privacy Officer for a large health care entity developing and managing a full-scale privacy program. Ali provides comprehensive counseling to all types of healthcare entities from health care providers to health information technology companies, such as mobile application developers and telemedicine platforms, on compliance matters in complex regulatory environments.
