Kathleen (Katie) M. O'Neill is a senior associate in the Corporate Practice Group and member of the Healthcare Team. Katie has a diverse healthcare practice and been recognized by Best Lawyers as One to Watch for Health Care Law.

Areas of Practice

Katie O’Neill represents medical groups, health systems, integrated healthcare delivery systems, independent practice associations, management services organizations, payors, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and a variety of other healthcare industry clients, both for-profit and non-profit. On the transactional side, she manages mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic affiliations across healthcare industry sectors. As a former RN, Katie’s hands-on experience in healthcare delivery and clinical operations informs her advice to clients on value-based care transformation initiatives, including risk-based contracting, population health management, team-based care, care coordination, risk adjustment, provider alignment strategies, ACOs, and clinically integrated networks.

Katie advises on a broad range of other issues related to healthcare operations, including commercial contracting, corporate governance, provider employment and licensing, telemedicine, regulatory transaction reviews and approvals, corporate practice of medicine, reimbursement, fraud and abuse, licensing, peer review and mandated reporting. She keeps current on new laws and healthcare industry trends to provide the best possible advice in negotiations and strategic decision-making. Katie strives to provide comprehensive advice by collaborating closely with firm experts in employee benefits, financing, employment, non-profit, real estate, and tax matters.
