Overview
Kathleen (Katie) M. O'Neill is a senior associate in the Corporate Practice Group and member of the Healthcare Team. Katie has a diverse healthcare practice and been recognized by Best Lawyers as One to Watch for Health Care Law.
Areas of Practice
Katie focuses on getting clients their desired outcomes practically and efficiently. She helps clients structure mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic affiliations in the healthcare industry. She also advises clients on legal/operational matters, like commercial contracting, corporate governance, provider employment and licensing issues, as well as healthcare regulatory matters.
As a former RN, Katie enjoys working with medical groups, health facilities, and other organizations supporting clinical providers, like management services organizations, non-profit health systems, payors, and others. She keeps current with frequent changes in healthcare law, including pre-closing transaction reviews/approvals, corporate practice of medicine, reimbursement, fraud and abuse, licensing, peer review, and mandated reporting. Katie collaborates closely with colleagues in employee benefits, financing, labor/employment, non-profit, real estate, and tax, and uses that knowledge and experience in her own practice.
