Mr. Ryland specializes in workouts, bankruptcy and financial institutions litigation. He has represented banks and other commercial lenders and lessors and other financial institutions for over thirty years. His principal focus has been as a financial institutions litigator, workout and bankruptcy attorney representing financial institutions in the enforcement of their rights and remedies and in all types of contract, common law tort, lending law, unfair business practice and other disputes. At the same time, he has documented numerous secured and unsecured commercial loans and regularly represents creditors in workouts. He frequently appears in the bankruptcy, state and federal courts throughout California. He has more than twenty years' experience as an arbitrator for the San Francisco Superior Court and served as a judge pro tem in the Marin County Superior Court. He has represented major creditors in bankruptcy proceedings involving all types of businesses and public entities.
