Brenda Bissett is special counsel in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Areas of Practice

As special counsel in the Business Trial Practice Group, Brenda focuses her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation matters. She counsels insurers in matters involving underlying claims and coverages at all levels, including general liability, personal lines, business automobile liability and professional liability. She also litigates coverage disputes at the trial court and appellate level, with emphasis on actions presenting particularly difficult legal and logistical challenges.

Before joining the firm in 2008, Brenda spent more than 20 years representing underwriters and defending London market insurers and domestic insurers in high-profile insurance coverage litigation, including environmental and construction related liabilities of major corporations and governmental entities and actions against domestic insurers facing breach of contract and bad faith claims involving coverage for technology claims.  With over three decades of experience representing insurers, she is skilled in negotiating case, claim and issue resolution in a careful, creative and cost-effective manner.
