Corporate Mid-Level Associate (Class of 2013 - 2015)
|Date posted||September 26, 2019|
Our Washington, DC office seeks an associate with 4 - 6 years of sophisticated transactional private equity and M&A experience to join our DC-based corporate team. Preferred candidates will have focused primarily on private equity leveraged buyout and M&A transactions (as well as the general corporate work produced by such clients) during their career, and will have significant, hands-on experience managing deals in this area at a large law firm with a national or international reputation. Experience in a transactional practice outside of private equity/M&A is not desired at this time. The candidate must have excellent drafting skills and verbal communication skills, a solid grasp of (and interest in) business concepts, and the ability to manage competing demands and multiple workstreams effectively and efficiently. The ability to function at a high level in high pressure situations with tight deadlines is essential.
Our DC-based corporate group is a highly collegial group of 15+ attorneys who value hard work, teamwork and "taking ownership" of projects, and who also take the time to enjoy the successes of our practice. Our corporate clients range from middle market private equity funds to privately held and public companies with domestic and international operations, and they span a diverse range of industries including aerospace and defense, industrials, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and business services.
This is a partnership-track position and offers great growth opportunities. We encourage our associates to interact directly with clients and opposing counsel.
