International Trade Jr. to Mid-Level Associate (Class of 2015 - 2018)

The Washington, DC office of Sheppard Mullin seeks to hire a junior or mid-level associate to join its premier Government Contracts, Investigations & International Trade practice group. We provide a full range of legal services to clients that do business with government entities and offer associates challenging and interesting work with a collegial team of lawyers who are passionate about what they do.
The successful candidate will support the full-scope government contracts practice and should have at least 2 years of substantial government contracts experience, preferably with a large law firm. Preference will be given to applicants who must have significant experience with 3 or more of the following areas of practice: civil export controls (Export Administration Regulations), munitions export controls (International Traffic in Arms Regulations,) economic sanctions and embargoes, customs law and/or antidumping and countervailing duties.
Candidates must be able to work well with clients and other team members and to take ownership of matters. The successful applicant will have excellent academic credentials, written and verbal communication skills, and research and analytical skills. Candidates must be DC bar members or eligible for prompt admission to the DC bar.
