Overview
David Lewis is a patent agent in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm's San Diego (Del Mar) Office.
Areas of Practice
David currently prosecutes patents related to electrooptic circuits and electric vehicles. He has also prosecuted patents in a wide variety of technology areas, which include password encryption, computer security, new types of computers, online databases, databases, and routers. He has experience in the financial and business sectors, among other areas.
David had his own practice as a patent agent from 2004-2021. Prior to opening his own practice, he worked at another law firm specializing in intellectual property law.
Previously, David worked as an Engineer at Read Rite Corporation writing computer models of aspects of magnetic recording. He is a former patent examiner, where he examined primarily liquid crystal display cells, in addition to other electrooptic displays, microscopes, printers, and rearview mirrors. David’s thesis work was in micromagetics.
