Fatemeh provides counsel to clients on labor and employment matters. She has litigated in both federal and state wage and hour class and representative (PAGA) actions. She has also litigated and mediated single plaintiff cases involving all major causes of action under the California Labor Code, FEHA, and FLSA, and is experienced in California-specific and nationwide wage and hour audits for small and large companies.
Fatemeh handles the ins and outs of litigation on behalf of Fortune 500 companies on a daily basis with a keen eye towards strategy, minimization of risk, and mitigation of future litigation. She regularly resolves cases at all stages of litigation, whether by motion practice or confidential settlement.
Fatemeh has experience before administrative agencies such as the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.. She possesses expertise in various industries, such as retail, nonprofit, hospitality, and healthcare with a specialized focus in the transportation industry.
A frequent adviser, Fatemeh counsels clients regarding various employment issues, including diversity and inclusion, mandatory arbitration agreements, hiring best practices, terminations, and drafting employment documents such as employment agreements, employee handbooks, and separation agreements and releases. She also assists clients with wage and hour audits and provides training.
