Gordon Fine is a special counsel in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's San Francisco office.
Areas of Practice
Gordon’s diverse practice covers the spectrum of labor and employment counseling and litigation. He has decades of experience representing management in litigation of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and other types of employment cases. Gordon also represents employers before administrative agencies such as the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
In addition to his litigation experience, Gordon regularly provides clients with practical advice on a wide range of day-to-day labor and employment law issues, including employee classification, leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, and employee discipline and termination. He also advises employers on handbook preparation, employment contracts and applications, and personnel policies.
Prior to joining the firm, Gordon served as General Counsel at a fitness company, where he litigated matters and provided legal services and advice to operations. This allows him to bring a level of sensitivity, understanding and experience to his interactions with clients.
While in law school, Gordon worked at the National Labor Relations Board and interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
