Ira Valsamaki is an associate in the Antitrust & Competition Practice Group in the firm's Brussels office.
Areas of Practice
Ira is a member of the firm’s EU Competition & Regulatory practice and advises on all aspects of antitrust and competition law, with a particular focus on international merger control. Ira has extensive experience in merger control procedure with a large number of competition authorities worldwide and has advised clients in various industries on their merger control and other competition obligations. In addition, she has been involved in major cartel cases before the European Commission and in State Aid proceedings before the EU Courts. Ira also advises on EU regulatory matters with a focus on aviation law.
Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Ira worked as an associate in another international law firm in Brussels, and as a trainee at the European Commission (Directorate General for Competition).
