Matthew McVicker is a technical specialist in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm's Washington D.C. office. 

Areas of Practice

Mr. McVicker’s practice focuses on patent prosecution. He assists partners and senior attorneys in drafting new patent applications and office action responses. Mr. McVicker’s technical background includes computer architecture, embedded systems, operating systems, and web development.

Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Mr. McVicker worked as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He examined applications relating to document processing and graphical user interfaces. Previously, Mr. McVicker completed an internship at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he did web development for the government.
