Overview:
Boards are becoming increasingly aware of -and concerned- about data privacy and security risks. Whether it is recent news about breaches, fears of acquiring a new operating unit with significant privacy exposure, or working with third parties who subject the company to exposure, boards are worried. In this session we will review obligations of the board with respect to privacy and data security, liability and responsibilities of board members, and how companies can work with their boards in light of these concerns.
