The Internet May Take You Places To Defend A Lawsuit, But Not To California

The article relates that in the latest test of the Internet’s lack of physical borders, the California Supreme Court in a 4-3 ruling in Pavlovich v. Superior Court, held that a Texas resident could not be sued in California for allegedly stealing trade secrets and posting them on the Internet, even if he knew or should have known that the harm would be felt in California.
