Sheppard Mullin Adds Experienced Litigator In Seoul

Albert Joon-Ho Tae Strengthens Firm’s Korean Litigation Capabilities

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is pleased to announce that Albert Joon-Ho Tae joined as Special Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Group in Seoul, South Korea and Los Angeles. He was most recently an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Tae’s practice focuses on complex cross-border litigation, in particular cross-border matters involving Korea and the United States. He has represented companies in various disputes in the automotive, financial services, pharmaceutical, and other industries. He advises on commercial litigation, class action litigation, intellectual property litigation, international arbitration and electronic discovery. Tae also counsels clients with respect to their cross-border transactional strategies as well as regulatory compliance. He received his LL.B. from Yonsei University and his JD from the University of La Verne. Prior to his legal career, Tae served in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps as an infantry officer.

Sheppard Mullin was the first foreign law firm to open a permanent office in Seoul (2012) and is currently the fifth largest foreign law firm in Seoul. The firm’s Korea Practice, which includes lawyers from various offices, has more than 40 lawyers (including 29 partners) and serves clients such as Samsung, Doosan and Hyundai.
