Sheppard Mullin’s Women In Healthcare Leadership Collaborative to Host Next Event on January 23, 2020

Roundtable Discussion to Address 2020 Healthcare Law and Policy
01.06.2020

Sheppard Mullin’s Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative (WHLC), an exclusive leadership initiative for women in-house attorneys, compliance officers, business leaders and other professionals in the healthcare industry, will host its next event, “A View from the Capitol: 2020 Healthcare Policy, Legal and Regulatory Predictions,” in New York City on January 23, 2020. The event will also be streamed live in the firm’s San Francisco office.

Sheppard Mullin healthcare attorneys Christine Clements, Allison Fulton, Bevin Newman and Kathleen Stratton will lead an interactive roundtable discussion regarding significant developments and predictions for U.S. healthcare law, policy and regulation involving (i) antitrust enforcement, (ii) the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, (iii) FDA law and policy, and (iv) the outlook for the Affordable Care Act and trends in healthcare coverage in 2020.

“The healthcare industry is rapidly evolving and, with it, the regulatory landscape. This program provides women attorneys, executives and other professionals in the healthcare industry a unique opportunity to get ahead of the latest legislative and policy developments,” said Amanda Zablocki, senior associate and co-leader of Sheppard Mullin’s WHLC.

Danielle Vrabie, senior associate and co-leader of Sheppard Mullin’s WHLC, added: “We anticipate this program will generate some lively conversations and set the tone for the rest of our 2020 programming. Our focus is to make sure that we’re covering the major and emerging topics facing women healthcare professionals as well as offering these women exclusive networking opportunities.”

The WHLC kicked off its programming series in September 2019 with a well-attended roundtable discussion surrounding social determinants of health, featuring presenters Dr. Amanda Parsons, Deputy Chief Medical Officer at MetroPlus Health Plan and Dawn Johnson, Principal at COPE Health Solutions.

WHLC membership is by invitation only. Contact whlc@sheppardmullin.com to join.
