Matthew’s practice focuses on advising healthcare providers, investors, and industry groups on transactional and regulatory matters. Matthew helps healthcare companies buy, sell, or reorganize their businesses or enter into joint venture relationships with others in the industry. His experience includes leading healthcare transactions and counseling on health care regulatory matters, including the federal Stark Law and state self-referral prohibitions, the federal anti-kickback statutes, corporate practice of medicine doctrine, and fee-splitting statutes.
In the health care industry, where the regulatory environment is ever-changing, Matthew understands the importance of navigating clients through the complex regulatory landscape with an appreciation for business solutions that are both practical and timely. His business-oriented perspective on health care issues sets his representation apart from the traditional “yes” or “no” attorney—as clients know that most health care issues require creativity far from black-and-white answers. Matthew acknowledges the immediacy of his client’s needs and provides them with around-the-clock access and service.
