Raquel Maragh is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's New York office. Raquel’s practice focuses on corporate matters and transactional due diligence across a variety of industries.
Areas of Practice
Raquel advises private companies in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, renewable energy project finance; venture capital and emerging company transactions and general corporate law matters.
Before joining Sheppard Mullin, Raquel worked as an associate at a national law firm where she advised clients on corporate formations and structuring, governance and operational matters, drafting transactional documents and managing due diligence investigations.
Raquel has ten (10) years of professional work experience prior to attending law school. Pre-law school, Raquel founded and operated two commercial daycare centers in Brooklyn, NY. Raquel managed all aspects of the businesses including hiring and supervising staff, implementing professional development programs and managing all financial aspects, which reflected an increase in profits grossing approximately $1.8M in the 3rd fiscal year.
During law school Raquel participated in the Entrepreneurship & Intellectual Property Clinic, advising and providing legal assistance to start-ups, small businesses and non-profit organizations including forming business entities and assisting with tax structure, drafting documents governing the operations of the organization and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
