Seema Vora Kamath is an associate in the Entertainment and Digital Media Practice Group in the firm's Century City office.
Areas of Practice
Seema came to the Entertainment and Digital Media Practice Group from a background in mergers and acquisitions, and brings her corporate expertise to entertainment transactions. She has advised independent production companies and digital media companies on all stages of the creation of content, from the acquisition of source material and the development of content to the financing and distribution of content as well as the sale and licensing of original music. Seema has also counseled investors and other institutional entertainment and media clients on motion picture and television financing arrangements, including secured and unsecured credit transactions and collection account and custodial agreements in connection with the administration of proceeds from multiple sources.
Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Seema practiced corporate law at an international law firm where she represented public and private companies in corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt and equity offerings, executive employment and compensation structures, and also advised clients on corporate governance and other general corporate matters. Seema received her Masters of Fine Arts in writing, giving her a unique sense of appreciation for the creative content that clients create. She has also previously worked in the legal affairs department at NBC Universal.
