Overview

Ana handles entertainment matters in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, providing day-to-day support to media companies.

She advises on advertising, social media regulation, rights acquisitions of books and audiovisual works, and additionally supports development and production of motion pictures and television shows.

Her clients include studios, major television networks, premium subscription video-on-demand exhibitors, large production companies, independent producers, distributors, and live streaming platforms.

Professional and Educational Background

Ana is fully bilingual (English and Spanish), and has extensive experience negotiating agreements for content licenses, talent hiring, marketing, technology, and vendor services. She has conducted employee training concerning copyright clearance, data protection, advertising compliance, and other legal compliance issues.

In prior roles, she has advised clients on legal issues relating to advertising laws, copyright infringement, foreign investment, telecommunications regulation, and trademarks. Ana has served as in-house counsel for entities in Latin America and Europe. Her previous experience includes Twitch in the United Kingdom, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies of Colombia (Ministerio de Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones), and one of the top law firms in Colombia.

Ana holds a Master of Laws (LLM), with a concentration in Intellectual Property & Technology Law, from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, as well as a Business & Law Certificate, which is jointly issued with The Wharton School.
