Aaron J. Malo is a partner working in the Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group of the firm's Orange County office.

Areas of Practice

Mr. Malo's practice focuses on creditors' rights issues.  He primarily represents lending institutions, equity groups, financial services corporations, equipment lessors, landlords, real estate developers, and other creditors.  Mr. Malo has extensive experience in all aspects of bankruptcy and workout proceedings.  He has also served as lead trial counsel for significant jury and bench trials in state and federal courts.  Additionally, Mr. Malo has developed a specialized practice counseling clients on all aspects of high stakes landlord/tenant issues, taking many such matters to trial.  He frequently writes, teaches and lectures on bankruptcy and creditors rights issues.  Previously, Mr. Malo taught bankruptcy law at the Orange County campus of Golden Gate University's Graduate School of Taxation.

Mr. Malo has a strong commitment to community service and the provision of pro bono legal services.  Mr. Malo regularly provides pro bono legal counsel to a host of not-for-profit organizations ranging from Families Forward to the Milarepa Fund to the Huntington Beach Interfaith Council.  He has also spent considerable time working on elderlaw issues.
