Tracey Kennedy Named Among Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers in California
The Daily Journal selected Labor and Employment partner Tracey Kennedy for its 2023 list of “Top Women Lawyers” in California. Kennedy was noted for obtaining a complete defense verdict on behalf of the University of Southern California in a jury trail for sexual assault, harassment and retaliation in which the plaintiff sued USC for nearly $60 million.
The Daily Journal also noted that in her labor and employment practice, Kennedy has witnessed firsthand the public’s reaction to the #MeToo movement. According to the Daily Journal, “Even after thirty years of representing clients in harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination cases, Kennedy says the cases never fail to surprise her with their twists and turns.”
“For every employment case, I keep thinking I’m jaded, that I know what’s going on, and I’m surprised every single time,” Kennedy said in the Daily Journal. “It just gets crazier and crazier every single year. … I really love trying employment cases.”
