Mr. Dineen is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's San Diego office.
Areas of Practice
Mr. Dineen practices general business and commercial litigation. He has a wide array of experience in complex civil litigation. He has successfully represented clients in claims involving breach of contract, unfair business practices, fraud, negligence, Truth-In-Lending and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Acts and other causes of action. Mr. Dineen also has significant experience in defending consumer class action claims, including claims brought under the Song-Beverly Credit Card Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, California's Rosenthal Act and other statutory claims. He has extensive experience in all aspects of class action litigation, including coordination proceedings in California courts.

Representative Matters
- Obtained complete dismissals of several single-plaintiff mortgage-related complaints.
- Successfully briefed and argued case before the California Court of Appeal following a sustaining of a demurrer without leave to amend by the trial court in case asserting claims for quiet title and declaratory relief. The Court of Appeal affirmed the judgment of the trial court.
- Lead associate on a team of Sheppard Mullin attorneys that obtained favorable settlement of class action claims in coordination proceeding involving three class action complaints with overlapping putative classes asserting claims under the Song-Beverly Credit Card Act and unfair competition laws.
- Lead associate on a team of Sheppard Mullin attorneys that obtained favorable resolution of Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA") claims brought against a telecommunications company.
- Lead associate on a team of Sheppard Mullin attorneys that obtained complete victory following arbitration on behalf of a major banking client.
- Lead associate on a team of Sheppard Mullin attorneys that obtained favorable resolution of class action claims involving California's Rosenthal Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
