Alyssa K. Fiedler

Alyssa Fiedler is special counsel in the Corporate Practice Group, with a focus on advising transactional risk insurers in the placement of representation and warranty insurance (RWI) policies and other transaction risk insurance products.

Areas of Practice

Alyssa draws on her extensive prior experience as an M&A attorney, extremely familiar with the effective use of these products, to provide legal and strategic counseling to transactional risk insurers. Alyssa successfully balances identifying key risks associated with the underlying corporate transaction with arriving at an insurance policy that satisfies all parties involved. In the course of practicing M&A, she negotiated and placed numerous RWI policies for both strategic and private equity buy-side clients and gained experience with the RWI claims process. Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Alyssa spent the first decade of her legal career at leading international law firms representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financings, and other complex business transactions.
