National Law Journal Names Kari Rollins a 2023 Litigation Trailblazer
The National Law Journal has named Kari Rollins a 2023 "General Litigation Trailblazer." The list honors legal professionals “who have made significant marks on the practice, policy and technological advancements in their sector.”
Kari, office managing partner of the New York office and a partner in Sheppard Mullin’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Team, defends clients in data privacy and data breach litigation, and helps them mitigate risk in the development and implementation of privacy, breach and cybersecurity practices and policies.
“When I started specializing in data privacy and data breach 13 years ago, practitioners in that space were primarily transactional attorneys and/or privacy counsels; traditionally, they were not litigators,” Kari said to the National Law Journal.
Kari’s innovative approach to her practice helped her to “successfully defend a client in a data breach class action and exclude plaintiff’s damages expert – the first successful Daubert motion of its kind in the data breach class litigation space.”
