Jim Gatto Named Cryptocurrency, Blockchain and Fintech Trailblazer by The National Law Journal
Jim Gatto, a partner and Blockchain Technology and Digital Currency Team leader, has been named a 2018 Cryptocurrency, Blockchain and Fintech Trailblazer by The National Law Journal. The list, published in a special September supplement, “profiles a handful of individuals who are making great strides as finance and technology grow more and more intertwined.”
Gatto’s profile highlights his start in the blockchain, cryptocurrency and fintech field and increased his patent work for companies developing alternative currencies. “Gatto also helped create a digital collectibles marketplace though the use of blockchain technology and unique nonfungible tokens and has worked with Basecoin on a coin which will be tied to an index to retain a stable value.” Gatto has also blazed a trail working for a major cannabis company to provide digital financial services specific to that burgeoning industry, which is currently caught between state and federal laws.
