Casa Dragones
Casa Dragones is a 100% Blue Agave Joven tequila, handcrafted in small batches in Jalisco Mexico. Casa Dragones was co-founded in 2008 by Bertha González Nieves (often hailed as tequila’s “First Lady”) and Bob Pittman, the MTV creator and onetime AOL Time Warner COO. González Nieves started at Grupo Jose Cuervo International and before long became a top executive and remained with the brand giant for 10 years—until it came time to pursue her passion project. Forbes has identified her as one of the 50 most powerful women in Mexico. She is the first woman to be certified as ‘Maestra Tequilera’ by the Academia Mexicana de Catadores de Tequila (Mexican Academy of Tequila Tasters). The company produces Casa Dragones Joven, a high-end sipping tequila ideal for food pairings, and the more accessibly priced Casa Dragones Blanco, meant to be enjoyed on the rocks or in a cocktail.
