Justin Oetting is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's San Diego (Downtown) office.

Areas of Practice

Justin’s legal practice focuses on trust, estate, and inheritance disputes.

Before joining the firm, Justin litigated complex securities class actions at a national law firm. Justin interned for Judge Larry Burns and Judge Thomas Whelan in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, and for Judge Carlos Espinoza in Chile’s Court of Appeals. He also served as an intern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California, and in the California Attorney General’s Office for the Appeals, Writs, and Trials section, the Special Prosecutions section, and the Hague Team. Justin has written three appellate briefs and argued two cases in the California Court of Appeal.

Justin has published a novel, and in his free time, he surfs, scuba dives, and plays the bagpipes. He has also volunteered at the Dilley Pro Bono Project, where he assisted asylum seekers in Spanish with Credible Fear Interviews and appeals in immigration court.
