Overview

Kathryn Ryan is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's Chicago office. She is also a member of the firms’ Privacy and Cybersecurity team. 

Areas of Practice

Kathryn’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex business matters in arbitration, as well as in state and federal courts. Her litigation practice includes work on a variety of high-profile business and intellectual property cases, including in the areas of contract, defamation, patent infringement, data breaches, use of biometrics, and theft of trade secrets. She was a member of the Sheppard Mullin team that obtained one of the largest (if not the largest) patent infringement damages awards against the United States of America.

Before joining Sheppard Mullin, Kathryn worked in the trucking and logistics industries.
