In a Q&A with Law360 Pulse, Luca spoke with reporter Justin Wise about transitioning into the role as Chair of the Executive Committee in October 2021, how he plans to lead the firm as it comes out of the Covid-19 pandemic, and other industry challenges and opportunities he expects to take on.

In an excerpt:   For 20 years, the firm under the leadership of Guy Halgren more than tripled its attorney headcount, opened 11 global offices and saw its revenue increase every year. The firm's practices remained busy during the coronavirus pandemic, helping it chalk up another strong year in 2020.  But the sudden changes caused by the pandemic, including the shift to a mostly remote environment, now need to be considered from a long-term perspective as the economy gradually reopens, Salvi told Law360 Pulse. A "new normal," as Salvi described it, with an increased use of technology and more flexible work policies, can't abandon what has traditionally driven the firm's success… We're going to need to balance the advantages we've leveraged with respect to technology and working remotely against the long-term needs of our business… The new normal has implications for how we run our business and how to collaborate as a firm."
