Areas of Practice
Michael is a trial lawyer who represents U.S. and foreign companies in complex civil and criminal litigation matters and investigations, including construction and business disputes and regulatory and compliance violations. He has assisted clients in the construction, retail, health care, pharmaceuticals, mining, technology solutions, and materials, chemicals, and solutions industries.
Michael has represented companies in federal and state courts litigating matters regarding allegations of breach of contract, commercial bribery, corruption, fraud, public nuisance, criminal negligence, workplace retaliation, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) violations, False Claims Act (FCA) violations, and Controlled Substance Act (CSA) violations. He has also represented clients in defending against Department of Justice (DOJ) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations and enforcement actions related to Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), securities fraud, accounting fraud, and directors and officers liability.
Michael has significant pro bono experience representing women in immigration and asylum proceedings stemming from domestic abuse, gang violence, and political persecution.
