Michael Wilson is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in the firm's Chicago office.
Areas of Practice
Mike is an experienced dealmaker, having successfully guided clients to closing hundreds of transactions. Mike focuses on mergers and acquisitions, debt finance transactions, venture capital transactions and general corporate matters, and his experience ranges from traditional business transactions to highly complex, highly customized transactions, such as joint ventures, multi-phase restructurings, and company startup and growth transactions. He works with private equity funds and venture capital funds, startups and entrepreneurs, banks and non-bank lenders, and other public and private businesses. He has significant private equity experience, including with small business investment companies (SBICs), representing funds and limited partners in portfolio investments, limited partner investments, fund formation and SBIC licensing. Mike frequently works with companies in the technology and healthcare sectors, and has also worked with companies in a wide variety of other industries, including energy transition, food and beverage, consumer products, fintech, insurtech and cannabis.

- Represented Vuaant, Inc., d/b/a care.ai in its sale to Stryker Corporation (NYSE: SYK).
- Represented Prospect Partners in its investment to acquire a controlling interest in Warren Roofing & Insulating, Cleveland Building Restoration (“CBR”), and Total Roofing Services.
- Represented Vapor Power International and affiliates in their sale to Thermon Group Holdings, Inc.
- Represented Chicago Pacific Founders as lead investor in a $42.2 million PIPE offering by P3 Health Partners.
- Represented WellBe Senior Medical, an in-home healthcare provider, in its growth capital raise from strategic investors including CVS Health Growth Equity, Excellus Health Plan and Intermountain Ventures Fund.
- Represented a private equity fund in its acquisition of a controlling interest in a company specializing in pet microbiome.
- Represented a healthcare real estate investment fund in its acquisition of a management company from a living communities group.
