We are pleased to invite you to the first meeting of the San Diego Chapter Aerospace & Defense Forum. Our speaker for this inaugural meeting will be Dr. Gene Ray.

The meeting will consist of Dr. Ray’s presentation, an opportunity for open group discussion and an organized opportunity for networking following Dr. Ray’s talk.

About the Speaker

For the past year, Dr. Gene W. Ray has been managing director of GMT Ventures LLC, where he provides assistance and guidance to early stage companies.

Ray was one of the founders of The Titan Corp., where he served as CEO and a director of the corporation since the company's inception in 1981. The company merged with the L-3 Communications family last year. 

Prior to launching Titan, Ray was executive vice president, general manager and a director of Science Applications International Corp. Inc. for 11 years. Ray served for two years as Chief, Strategic Division, U.S. Air Force. He held the position of Senior Appointee (Public Law 313) on the staff of the chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force, where he led a team of military and civilian analysts and scientists. Earlier in his career, Ray was with the Aerospace Corporation where he contributed to weapon system analysis programs and specialized in the area of nuclear survivability.

About the Forum

The Aerospace & Defense Forum is a global aerospace and defense leadership community that provides opportunities for sharing of information and analysis, mutual support and encouragement, partnering, innovation, and performance breakthroughs. The A&D Forum originated in Los Angeles and also has a successful chapter in Orange County.

The A&D Forum community currently consists of over 590 industry senior executives and professionals. Members are A&D industry executives, senior business service providers, investors, government agencies, non-profit and professional associations, and entrepreneurs with a strong interest in the aerospace and defense industries.
